WILLEMSTAD - A special cannabis agency will be set up on the island. This is currently being discussed by the involved parties. The Opium Act must be amended to legalize medicinal cannabis in Curaçao.

If this bill, which was sent to parliament last week, is approved, the Medicinal Cannabis Curaçao Office can be opened.

They will maintain direct contact with growers and sellers.
