CPA: Protect the image of our island

WILLEMSTAD - The protest demonstrations of this week have had a negative impact on the cruise tourism. Earlier, Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA) had been approached by the headquarters of a cruise company to express their concern about the images of burning car tires. This week tourists are passing through walked the center of the city, immediately returned to the ship when they became aware of the protest manifestations.

Curaçao has been for the last two years in a row the most favorite destination in the southern part of the Caribbean. Curaçao has been able to record a record number of visitors last year and everything indicated that this year it will be even better.

With this press release, CPA wants to make everyone aware this week’s incident had a negative impact on the image of the island. Hopefully, this will not happen again.
