Court may have to move from the historic Town Hall

WILLEMSTAD - The Common Court of Justice must probably leave its accommodation at the historic building located at Wilhelmina Plaza in downtown Willemstad. At least temporarily. The old town hall suffers from concrete degradation and contaminated air.

The layout of the building is not efficient enough to handle 40,000 cases per year. In addition, there are security issues with bringing and collecting detained suspects.

Renovation of the building is desperately needed, but decisions have not yet been made.
