CORC does not show that it has enough money, 540 men on the street

WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao Oil Refinery Complex (CORC) BV. still does not meet the conditions for the acquisition of the refinery, despite an agreement that was signed in May. There is no evidence that the local company has enough money to operate the refinery, said RdK, the owner of the ISLA refinery.

The RdK says ithas no money to continue paying the salaries. As a result, as of September 30, 540 people will be on the street. Employees will receive a severance package if they agree to the dismissal. This amounts to two months' salary on top of the statutory severance payment.
