Contaminated meat for consumption in the supermarket

WILLEMSTAD - The problem with contaminated meat that is used for consumption in the supermarkets is greater than originally thought. This is according to a report from the Veterinary Service. This government department did research on the quality of meat in 20 supermarkets on the island.

18 supermarkets did not pass the test. Too many potential sickening bacteria, sulfite to make the meat nicely red and in some packages, not the meat mentioned on the label. Especially imported chicken and fish contain too many pathogenic bacteria.
