WILLEMSTAD - Former minister and current MP Jacinta Constancia offers a "basic political orientation course" for aspiring politicians. Constancia has announced this. The course is free and is intended for the many new, often young, people who are on one of the candidate lists.
Constancia herself has been active in the past 18 years as an Island Council member, Member of Parliament, Commissioner and Minister. She recently announced that she wanted to return her seat of Parliament to the MFK party. With the course she wants to inform young people about political and governance on the island.
Constancia has been convicted of fraud as Minister of Health.
According to the politician, many people want to enter politics, but they often lack concrete knowledge about public administration. With this she wants to help young people, so that Curaçao gets better politicians and the country can move forward.
