WILLEMSTAD - The new hospital will not be completed in April this year. That is what Clifton Walle, responsible for strategic communication, indicated. Construction by Ballast Nedam has been delayed. The building is expected to be completed six to eight weeks later. According to Walle, this means that the opening of the hospital will still take place this year, but in the last quarter.
The target date is now November 15, “but we are still nine months away from this date, so it will remain a goal for now” said Walle.
Walle states that it is not abnormal that delays are incurred during construction, but that a penalty clause applies. As a result, ballast owes an amount to SONA.
