Community service for QR code counterfeiter Zanzibar

WILLEMSTAD - The man who was arrested some time ago in Zanzibar with a false QR code has been sentenced to eighty hours of community service and a twenty-day suspended prison sentence. The case was filed on Wednesday.

The Public Prosecution Service (OM) has included the corona pandemic in its assessment of the man's violation. According to the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect's action has led to unnecessary fear and unrest.

The man was sentenced to community service because he turned out not to be infected with the virus. He also had no criminal record to date.
