WILLEMSTAD - The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow code for the weather conditions on the north coast of Curaçao. The strong wind and swell at sea can cause surf waves and damage to small vessels.

Whoever goes out to sea is advised to sail carefully. Coastal areas may also be flooded, therefore owners of coastal facilities are requested to protect them.

Swimmers should not swim too far from the shore.
