Coca-Cola Curaçao is bringing “mini” in a big way

Introducing: the mini bottle.

WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao Beverage Bottling Company BV (CBBC), better known as Coca-Cola Curaçao has launched a new, smaller and resealable 12oz PET bottle. This newest addition to its beverage portfolio is making it easier for consumers to manage their calorie intake, while still enjoying their favorite Coca-Cola brands.

The new 12oz bottles are available in the following flavors: Coca-Cola original taste; Coca-Cola no sugar and Sprite. The launch of this mini bottle is Coca-Cola Curacao’s next step towards becoming a ‘Total Beverage Company – a vision that expands Coca-Cola beyond its original core brand. This total beverage approach follows the changing consumer trends across the world. Market trends show that consumer needs are evolving, and people want more flavors and beverage options and smaller packaging. With this in mind, Coca-Cola Curaçao now offers a drink and a package for every need and desire.

“We’re all familiar with the saying ‘less is more’. We want to offer consumers more choice when it comes to portion size”, says Marketing Manager, Mrs. Myrthe George-Verhulst. “It is a big step in the right direction for the company that is not only actively offering choice but is also lending a hand to consumers to choose the drink size that best suits the occasion to enjoy their favorite product. We are listing the calories on the front of the packages to help consumers make an informed choice. The Coca-Cola Company is reducing sugar across its drinks. We are offering an increasing amount of drinks without calories and now we're also investing in making smaller portions more widely available across Curaçao and Bonaire. Also when it comes to price, the 12oz PET is expected to be popular with consumers”, concludes George-Verhulst.

Partnership with Gentz

To celebrate the introduction of this innovative package, Coca-Cola has partnered with the popular local band Gentz during this Carnival period. The four lead singers of Gentz are not only the face of the promotion, but the band has also produced a jingle to bring the new product under the attention of customers and consumers during the festive Carnival period.

The Coca-Cola refreshment mini- bottles are now available in grocery and convenience stores, as well as select food service outlets.
