CMC temporarily stops regular visits to patients

WILLEMSTAD - Effective November 23, the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) will cancel all regular visits to patients until further notice. CMC regrets this decision, but given the increase in the number of positive cases within the community, action is necessary to protect its patients and employees. Less traffic within the hospital also means less risk.

CMC guarantees that doctors will visit each patient for a daily check-up and update. In addition, the physician will communicate with a family member or contact approved by the patient as needed.

In exceptional cases, such as with post-operative patients, in the event of childbirth, the risk of a person dying, or a patient in critical condition, visits are permitted with the consent of the physician or the head of department.
