CMC is going to cut secondary employment conditions

WILLEMSTAD - The financial situation in the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) is becoming an increasing problem and therefore personnel costs will soon be cut. This was announced by the hospital director Gilbert Martina.

The management has already prepared the staff before the announcement of the measures. The details of the pay cut will be announced next Tuesday. According to Martina, this concerns a cut on secondary employment conditions, such as the end-of-year bonus.

According to Martina, it is a measure to give the CMC breathing space, it is up to the government to find a structural solution to the problems in the hospital. The CMC has been in dire straits for years. The government has to contribute about 300 million guilders annually.
