WILLEMSTAD - Cicely van der Dijs was released from prison today. The ex-partner of former Prime Minister Gerrit Schotte served her sentence. In 2017, she was convicted of money laundering. She had to report to the SDKK prison in August last year. There she spent six months behind bars. 

The Babel case is almost over. All that remains is the confiscation case against Schotte. The former prime minister still has to pay more than 1.8 million guilders to the crime fund. For this he has made a payment arrangement with the Public Prosecution Service. There isn’t much information about this arrangement.
