WILLEMSTAD - The census will no longer be conducted this year. The implementation of the census was planned for this year, but has now been postponed to March and April 2023.  

Five thousand households will then be surveyed. One of the reasons for the postponement is the shortage of staff at the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS). For example, the agency lacks a demographer. This develops analyzes of changes in the composition of the population. The regular investigations will continue. The census is held every ten years. The data is used by both the government and the business community for analysis.
