WILLEMSTAD - The appeal in cassation by Burney "Nini" Fonseca must be rejected. This is according to an advice from the Attorney General of the Netherlands.

Last July Foseca was convicted for his involvement in the murder of the former Member of Parliament and popular politician Helmin Wiels. He is said to have arranged the murderer and negotiated the amount of money and was sentenced to 26 years in prison in higher appeal, a year longer than in the first instance.

Fonseca wanted to go in cassation, but yesterday the advice to the Supreme Court followed that this should be rejected.

These recommendations are usually followed.
