Campo Alegre to be auctioned on September 6

WILLEMSTAD - The auction of the former brothel Campo Alegre has been moved to September 6. This is apparent from the advertisements of the open-air brothel.

The auction was actually supposed to take place last Tuesday, but on June 16, the Public Prosecution Service (OM) announced that it would be postponed. The Public Prosecution Service does not yet want to disclose the exact reason for the postponement. The stake price has been set at 8.9 million guilders.

The open-air brothel was closed at the start of the corona crisis after 71 years in operation. Campo Alegre had millions of debts outstanding and the corona measures delivered the final blow. The brothel will be auctioned by the Public Prosecution Service.
