BTP and Curoil: Import petroleum products subject to rules

WILLEMSTAD - Petroleum products can be imported by everyone, if they want to sell these products, then a nuisance permit is required. This is according to Bureau Telecommunication and Post (BTP).

There is quite a lot to do to import diesel through Inter Caribbean Trading & Shipping Company. The environmental service has determined that the company does not have a license and the 500,000 liters of diesel imported by them must be removed from the island.

At a joint press conference of Curoil and Bureau Telecommunication and Post, which was strange in itself due to the independent role that the Bureau occupies, Curoil director Yamil Lasten in particular dissociated himself from allegations made by Inter Caribbean Trading & Shipping Company last Friday in a press conference. According to Lasten, his company was badly damaged by all wrongful allegations. He announced to go to court.
