Black T-shirts in honor of deceased cancer patients at Ride 4 the Roses

WILLEMSTAD - During the Ride, Walk, and Swim for the Roses events in Curaçao, where participants wear white, yellow, and red T-shirts to symbolize contributing to, fighting against, and surviving cancer respectively, there is now special recognition for those who haven't overcome the battle against cancer. The Lawrence Mensa Foundation has donated black T-shirts with the text 'Some make it, some don't,' in honor of these brave warriors.

These T-shirts are available at the Ride events and are intended to offer respect and remembrance to those who have faced the battle against cancer but didn't win.

The Ride organization emphasizes with this gesture that, although one should always keep fighting for improvement, there are no guarantees. By purchasing a black T-shirt, individuals not only show support but also commemorate those who have passed away, with all proceeds going to the charity.

According to the organization, there is a significant demand for these special T-shirts. Recently, the first black T-shirt was presented to Mariëlle Goedmakers-Joubert in memory of her sister Nancy, who passed away from cancer.

This touching addition to the Ride events highlights the diverse facets of the battle against cancer and provides a platform for remembrance and tribute to those who are no longer with us.
