Avalon's Dean represented Curacao at IAMSE conference, USA

WILLEMSTAD - Avalon University School of Medicine's Dean Dr. Sateesh Arja represented Curacao and marched with Curacao flag at IAMSE annual conference, June 8-11, 2019, Roanoke, VA, USA. There are around 650 attendees at the conference from over 25 countries.

International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE) is a nonprofit professional development society organized and directed by health professions educators whose goals include promoting excellence and innovation in teaching, student assessment, program evaluation, instructional technology, human simulation, and learner-centered education. Dr. Sateesh Arja presented an oral presentation and received a medical educator fellowship by IAMSE.

The associate dean of basic sciences Dr. Sireesh Bala also did an oral presentation and received a medical educator fellowship by IAMSE. A faculty member from Avalon Dr. Praveen Kottathveetil did a poster presentation and received a medical educator fellowship by IAMSE.
