WILLEMSTAD - Utility company Aqualectra announced that it will replace all its paga-tinu meters. 28,000 households have such a prepaid system for electricity. Pagatinu has been around since 1997, but the meters have never been replaced since.
This year, in the first phase, it will be 4000 meters. Aqualectra will indicate, through advertisements in newspapers and on social media, which neighborhoods are to be switched and on which dates.
The new meters, according to Aqualectra, give more control over electricity consumption and are therefore cheaper.
