Appointment of Attorney General for Public Prosecutor's Office in Caribbean Netherlands (BES Islands)

KRALENDIJK - Mr. Guillano-Schoop has been appointed as the Attorney General for the Public Prosecutor's Office in Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba. 

 

 

This decision was approved by the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom on the proposal of Minister Yeşilgöz-Zegerius of Justice and Security. 

 

Mr. Schoop currently serves as the Deputy Chief Prosecutor for Curaçao. Previously, he held the position of prosecutor at the Office of the Chief Prosecutor of the Netherlands Antilles and Curaçao, where he was responsible for various cases, including drug-related investigations, homicides, human trafficking, and money laundering. 

 

Mr. Schoop will assume the role of Attorney General starting from February 1, 2024.
