ADC N.V. Successfully Passes Audit Once Again

Curaçao’s National Laboratory Reaffirms Its International Accreditation

WILLEMSTAD ADC N.V., Curaçao’s national laboratory, has once again successfully completed the annual audit conducted by the Dutch Accreditation Council (Raad voor Accreditatie, RvA). The laboratory reported only a few minor improvement points and expressed pride in the positive result, especially since this year’s audit was based on the newly updated ISO 15189:2022 standard.

The accreditation from the RvA is an internationally recognized quality mark, confirming that ADC operates under strict and high standards. For patients and healthcare providers, this means that test results are reliable, safe, and of excellent quality.

Broad Range of Specialties

ADC distinguishes itself as a multidisciplinary laboratory offering a wide range of analytical and diagnostic services. The laboratory includes four medical specialties: Clinical Chemistry and Hematology (KCH), Toxicology and Pharmaceutical Research (TGO), Medical Microbiology (MM), and Pathology.

Thanks to its extensive expertise, ADC is able to perform most tests locally, eliminating the need to send samples abroad. This allows for faster results and direct support to the island’s healthcare system.

Managing Risks, Guaranteeing Quality

The updated ISO standard places a stronger emphasis on risk management. During the audit, ADC demonstrated professionally and transparently that it identifies, evaluates, and addresses risks in a timely manner.

The successful audit is the result of a team-wide effort, with staff from all departments collaborating to showcase the quality of the laboratory’s operations.

Through the daily dedication and commitment of its entire team, ADC maintains its accreditation and reaffirms its position as a national and regional leader in laboratory services.
