WILLEMSTAD - The ACU has parents in mind who often worry when the new school year starts and the financial means are limited. As a Savings and Credit Cooperative, ACU has the goal of contributing to improving the quality of life of its members.

This Savings and Credit Cooperative is going to support its members by offering parents who are affiliated with ACU space to buy school supplies at a reduced price during a festive event. On July 26 and 27, ACU will organize an event called ACU Pop-Up Eskolar that will take place at SOV Asiento. Various companies will be present during this event to sell various school items, computers, telephones and more.

The companies present at the event with their products include Changes, Feet First, Converse, Athlete's Foot, Boolchand's, Better Deals, Tapirama, Balani's / Mommies Angels, Cocoon Baby & Kids, Milo & Max. There is also an opportunity to become an ACU member during the event.

ACU also considers the current financial situation and offers its members the option of taking out a special loan for the purchase of school supplies. With this "Back 2 School" loan, members can start from ANG. 1,000, up to a maximum of ANG 25,000 loan at an interest rate of only 7.75% (8.43% APR). Members can apply for this loan from July 1 through July 31, 2019. During the Pop Up Eskolar event, they can also apply for the loan as long as it is used to purchase items at the event.
