WILLEMSTAD - The Value-Added-Tax System (ABB) starts from April. This was announced by the Minister of Finance Kenneth Gijsbertha.

This ABB must replace the current Sales Tax (OB) and next year bring in an extra 112 million for the government. The ABB means, among other things, that 12 percent tax must be paid on the import of most goods and 7 percent on insurance and holiday rentals.
