WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 1172 people who were tested today for the COVID-19 virus, 7 resulted positive. 1 case was taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections remains at 38. 1 of the cases is imported and the other ones are local infections.

The epidemiology department indicates that after more investigation it became known that 1 case was registered incorrectly. Additionally, after more investigation into some of the cases that were registered as active for some time, it became known that some had passed away, but it was not known. The Department will continue to investigate to see if they are related to COVID-19 or not. The numbers were adjusted accordingly.

The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) remains the same: 7 people are in the hospital. 2 of them are in the intensive care unit.

Unfortunately, two have died in the month of April in a nursing home but was not reported.
