WILLEMSTAD - 213 corona patients who have been in the Curacao Medical Center (CMC) in the period from July 20 to November 30 were not vaccinated. A total of 231 patients infected with the virus were in the hospital.

Only seven admitted patients were fully vaccinated. Five patients had only had the first injection. One person became infected within two weeks of the second vaccination. Four people were fully vaccinated but are not fully protected against the virus due to problems with their immune systems.

One patient who was hospitalized has had the Janssen vaccine. This patient was flown in from Bonaire.

The number of patients in the CMC has decreased considerably in recent weeks. The number of hospital admissions currently stands at three. All three patients are in intensive care. One person was flown in from Sint Maarten.
