WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 1853 people that were tested today for the COVID-19 virus, 14 of them were positive. 12 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections remains at 119.

According to the epidemiology department, there were 4 imported cases. After more investigation it became known that 1 case was recorded incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.

The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) until this morning: 8 COVID-related patients are in the hospital. 3 patients are in the ICU. 1 of the patients in the ICU is from St. Maarten. Unfortunately, 1 patient has died in the hospital.

The total COVID-related death since the beginning of the pandemic is 178.
