121 fines were issued during traffic checks

WILLEMSTAD - 121 fines were issued during two traffic checks on Wednesday. The fines were issued for, among other things, driving without a seat belt, calling while driving and dark foil on the windows. The checks took place on Wednesday between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.  

 

The traffic checks were a collaboration between the Montaña Police, the Traffic Police, Traffic and Transport Department, the Punda Police Guard, Otrobanda and Rio Canario. The checks were held at the Kaminda Rignald S. Recordino and the Caracasbaaiweg 

 

Of the 121 fines that were issued, 56 of them were for not wearing a seat belt and 10 fines for calling while driving. The other fines were issued to drivers without valid vehicle documents. A total of 147 cars were stopped. Cars with too dark foil on the windows were also stopped. Eleven vehicles were towed away with a tow truck.  

 

The police report that they will continue with these checks in the near future.
