Sentro pa Salú Públiko Participates in “Check bo Salú” Health Event

WILLEMSTAD - During the “Check bo Salú” health event, organized by the employee association of the Curaçao Student Financing Foundation (SSC) on Monday, May 5, Sentro pa Salú Públiko (SSP) actively contributed to raising awareness about preventive health. 

SSP delivered a presentation on diabetes prevention, the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and how early detection can help prevent complications. Additionally, the Analytical Diagnostic Center (ADC) offered free blood sugar testing for attendees. 

Sentro pa Salú Públiko is a public health institution focused on the prevention and management of chronic conditions, with a particular emphasis on type 2 diabetes. Through its Diabetes Service, individuals with (pre)diabetes receive free care, guidance, and support to help manage their health and avoid complications. 

SSP is available to all residents with local health insurance and works closely with general practitioners.

Public Awareness Campaign 

As part of its broader awareness campaign, SSP also organizes information sessions at schools and workplaces to highlight the importance of prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.
