Health = Wealth Project Launches in Tera Kora to Promote Healthy Living

WILLEMSTAD – This past Saturday, the Health = Wealth project officially kicked off in Tera Kora. During a plenary session at the Didi Deeds Foundation, a multidisciplinary team—including a general practitioner, a psychiatrist, a sports instructor, a coordinator, and a project leader—presented the initiative’s approach.

The project aims to promote a healthy lifestyle in Curaçao’s neighborhoods, focusing on preventive healthcare. Residents of Tera Kora are the first to participate in this program, which takes a holistic approach by combining sports and medical activities. During the launch event, attendees were given the opportunity to register for the program.

Health = Wealth is part of the broader Ban Biba Bario initiative and is supported by Undidat di Bario and Cede Aruba, with funding from the Stichting Doen neighborhood fund. The program will run for one year and will be gradually rolled out in various neighborhoods, starting with Banda Bou, Tera Kora, Westpunt, and Soto.

With this initiative, organizers hope to encourage long-term health awareness and active community participation in maintaining well-being across the island.
