WILLEMSTAD - Children aged five to eleven can be vaccinated against Covid-19 from February 19. The vaccination takes place on February 19 and 26 and March 12 at SDK in Brievengat.

Children are only allowed to get an injection under the supervision of their parents or guardians. They receive a child dose of Pfizer's corona vaccine.

The injection is completely voluntary. The corona policy does not attach any consequences to the vaccination status of children.

It was already possible for children aged five to eleven with an increased medical risk to get a corona injection. Children from the age of twelve could also be vaccinated.

The injection of young children is done on the advice of the Dutch Health Council.
