Aircraft parts found at west coast of the island
WILLEMSTAD – Spokesperson for the Coast Guard confirmed today that parts of a small aircraft were found at the west side of Curacao during the afternoon hours of February 21, 2013. There are indications that these parts belong to the recent aircraft which carried the well known Vittorio Missoni but disappeared in the area of Los Roques, islands off the coast of Venezuela.
Missoni is the heir of the fashion house carrying his own name. A few weeks ago a suitcase was found at the south coast of Curacao by a German tourist. The spokesperson could not exactly confirm that the parts really belong to Missoni’s aircraft because investigations are now done by the Public Prosecution.
