Additional MD83 Aircraft for DAE

N307WILLEMSTAD – DAE will receive an additional MD83. This will be the third MD83 from Falcon Air. The aircraft bearing registration number N307 has an interior which has been modified with big overhead bins and all seats freshly refurbished with blue leather seat covers. It will arrive in Hato first week of March.

The aircraft is currently in Miami and is being inspected by the FAA. It will be included on the DAE operations soon after it arrives in Curaçao and is inspected by the local authorities. The fleet of  DAE/FALCON will consist of 3 MD83’s that will operate flights to Miami, Orlando, Houston, Manaus, Bogota from Curaçao and to Haiti and Aruba from Miami.

“Thanks to Falcon, Curaçao can continue increasing flights and opening new destinations and  air services to places like Houston, Orlando and further north on the east coast of USA despite of Category 2. Also this unique opportunity for Falcon/DAE allows DAE to add other destinations and open market opportunities very quickly by adding aircraft in a short time,” Ramiz explained.

N307_Interior“DAE will sign a letter of understanding with Aergo Capital Limited from Dublin Ireland next week to lease two MD83 which are to be registered with the local Civil Aviation of Curaçao and to be operated directly by DAE and flown by local crews and maintained by local mechanics. The airline is working on all manuals and soon will start with the selections of pilots, flight attendants and mechanics to start training. Both Aircrafts are going through an extensive maintenance overhaul and will be delivered in the airline new livery, one at the end May and one at end of June. DAE plans to expand its seat capacity in Valencia and Maracaibo since the airline is experiencing very high load factors on those markets on their Fokker 100’s. In addition the local registered MD’s will be used to open new destinations  to South America after the summer,” Ramiz noted.

“Despite the many challenges that we confront daily, our lessors, the investors, our almost 400 employees spread over 7 countries and management are committed and working very hard every day building what will be known as the Airline of Curaçao. It takes time but we will achieve it. We don’t have any doubts and more important our team has no doubts,” Ramiz concluded.

You can get money anywhere as long as you can convince the people investing in your company that they will make more money. And also when you are wetleasing your own aircrafts. Wait and see what will happen very soon.

I know that but come on are they’re flights ever full? I know they never are to and from st Maarten. I hope the best for the airline.

Quincio, i know exactly what you are saying. Their Paramaribo flight never have more than 20 passengers on board. I do not have anything against DAE but their growth should be done “one block at a time” and not a whole megamall in 6 months.

Funny how Curacao Chronicle has not posted anything about the new MD-83 of Insel air arriving this Friday. Could it be that this news site IS partial to DAE due to and DAE employee writing the articles? Reporter AH suddenly changed to Edition on all articles. How peculiar…..

Dear Eagerbeaver, we did not publish anything about Insel Air’s new aircraft since we did not receive that information yet. Also, you are completely wrong about a DAE employee writing the articles. It’s a group of us who do our best to share Curacao’s most important news in English since there is no other source for English speaking people to read about Curacao in English. If you have a problem with it then please do not visit our site anymore. We are so fed up with your constant criticism. We receive constant information from DAE. We did ask Insel Air to do the same but they did not go up on our offer, so it’s up to them. Please enjoy the other articles that we prepare to keep our readers informed about what is going on in Curacao. Enjoy your day!
